Why Practice Self-Care?

 

Self-care, what is it? It is a pretty simple idea. It consists of what you do to take care of yourself. Not such a radical concept, right? Living in this society, it can be. We are so outwardly focused on our jobs, relationships, accomplishments, school, and more it can become easy to forget about the most important person in your life...YOU!

As a self-care advocate, I believe everyone should have and maintain a self-care practice. My self-care may look different than your self-care, and that is totally okay. Some people like to run while others practice yoga.

Self-care ideas:

-Yoga

-Going for a walk

-Dinner with friends

-Reading a book

-Taking a bubble bath

-Baking

-Writing

Self-care is a happy, healthy time you take to become grounded within yourself. Self-care is important for everyone. Anxious people, introverts, extroverts, and everyone else in between.
